The District Attorney serves as the chief elected criminal prosecutor for all of Grayson County. Located North of the DFW Metroplex in the heart of Texoma, Grayson County now boasts a population of almost 130,000 people comprised of retired seniors, families, and young professionals living in both urban and rural communities.
The Grayson County District Attorney’s Office serves as the exclusive authority for the filing of criminal cases in the county from all law enforcement agencies including city, county and state agencies. These include:

The office also prosecutes Class C Appeals, juveniles cases and serves as the civil attorney for CPS and Commissioners Court.
With a $2.8 million annual budget, not including forfeiture and hot check recovery funds, the District Attorney administers justice with a roughly 35-member staff, comprised of both criminal and civil attorneys, crime victim advocates, and various administrative positions.
