Meet Brett
Native Texan and District Attorney Brett Smith is a work horse, not a show horse. During his time as Grayson County District Attorney, Smith has worked tirelessly to make the county safer for all who live there. He has been tough on crime, implemented safety policies, introduced awareness seminars focused on keeping children safe and is a civically engaged leader in the community. Smith has earned a broad coalition of local support through his years of service and is ready to continue his work of keeping criminals behind bars to protect the people of Grayson County.
Priorities
Continue to implement policies that ensure the criminals, not the taxpayers, bear the cost of crime to the fullest extent possible.
Facilitate proactive training and education to community organizations, businesses, and churches.
Work with local schools and parents to strengthen cyber safety and drug awareness programs for students.
Efficiently manage the budget and recovery funds of the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office to the benefit of crime victims & the taxpayers.
